Origins of the AcuEnergetics^® School
AcuEnergetics^® is a modern energy healing modality based on a detailed understanding of the energetic anatomy and physiology of the human body. It was developed 30 years ago in Australia by Kevin Farrow, and is based on his research into the ancient and modern texts by Chinese, Middle Eastern, Indian and Western physicians, combined with his many years of clinical research.

The AcuEnergetics^® School was founded in Sydney, Australia in 2000 and runs all levels of AcuEnergetics^® courses from weekend workshops for people who want to understand how their own energetic system and how they can help themselves to be healthy and enjoy their life to the fullest, through to the full AcuEnergetics^® Practitioner Training Certificate, and AcuEnergetics^® Teacher Trainings.

After it was opened in 2000, the school expanded quickly with students coming from around Australia, and overseas, to study, and by 2004 it had outgrown it's first premises on the lower North Shore of Syney's harbour and another building was found in Sydney's inner west in the village of Balmain. Located in an old building in the heart of the village, this new premises was completely renovated and turned into the beautiful new AcuEnergetics^® Centre, which contains a large training hall, student library of both ancient and modern energetic medicine texts, the AcuEnergetics^® Clinic with 5 treatment rooms and The Natural Alchemist, an organic skincare shop and book store.

The AcuEnergetics^® School moved into the new Centre in December 2005 when it was blessed by Khandro-La, a Buddhist teacher from the Indian Himalayas, on her first visit to Australia. The completed Centre was then officially opened in April 2006.

Origins - Ancient energetic medicine schools
AcuEnergetics^® is a modern energy healing modality based on a detailed understanding of the energetic anatomy and psychology of the ancient Chinese, Middle Eastern, Indian and Western physicians. While it's beyond question that we once had a unified knowledge of the human bodies inherent structures and their functions, including their energetic systems, only parts of this understanding still exist. We see it in Ayurveda, in Tibetan and Chinese medicine and traces are there in the Upanishads, the Kabbalah and the Bible, Egyptian hieroglyphs and the works of the early Greeks including Plato and Pythagoras.

Only 1500 years ago there were schools and hospitals in China, India and Mesopotamia where learning and treatment of the sick using energetic psychology and medicine went hand in hand. The founder of AcuEnergetics^®, Kevin Farrow, studied the ancient writings from many cultures in a modern context and combined them with his own understandings gained from 30 years of personal explorations into the energy body, and discovered a new context for energy healing. This has a wide implication for all healing modalities. People have called energy medicine 'shamanism' or 'miracle cures', however as St Augustine pointed out, 'There are no such things as miracles, only unknown laws.'

How AcuEnergetics practitioners treat
The result of these discoveries was AcuEnergetics^®, which sees illness not as a problem to be solved, but as a reflection of the state of the spirit of the individual and how they view the world. While AcuEnergetics^® practitioners effectively treat pain and illness, they also help clients understand the real cause of their symptoms and teach them real life skills to help them in their development as individuals.

AcuEnergetics^® non invasive healing technique allows practitioners to accurately treat clients by opening their energetic channels and removing blockages, allowing the body to heal itself. These blockages can be held in the meridians, strange flows, chakras or pranic fields. AcuEnergetics^® students train in energetic sensing to be able to feel and balance these energetic streams, points and chakras.

Some of the complaints AcuEnergetics^® effectively treats include; chronic back & knee pain, sciatica, menstrual problems & infertility, thyroid problems, anxiety, insomnia, digestive problems, stress & trauma & many other problems. It has also proven helpful for post-operative care.

AcuEnergetics^® Courses
AcuEnergetics^® courses are run at the AcuEnergetics^® Centre in Balmain, Australia.
Level 1 and Level 2 courses will be run in some locations overseas from 2008. Click here for our calendar. The Practitioner Trainings are only run in the Centre in Balmain.
These courses are taught on three levels:

AcuEnergetics^® Level 1: Skills for Living
This is a journey of self-discovery through the heart. In this weekend course you will learn meditations to open your heart, how to feel and move energy, experience how a technique called Releasework can help to released held attitudes in the body, an introduction to energetic physiology and anatomy, and learn the Circulation of the Light balance.

AcuEnergetics^® Level 2: Inner Alchemy
Run over 2 weekends, Level 2 is about inner energetic work. Learning to direct your attention to awaken energy centres in the body and accurately feel, entrain and balance chakras. Includes learning inner opening techniques at dawn on Balmoral beach.

AcuEnergetics^® Level 3 Practitioner Training ~ The Art & Science of Energy Healing
Run in two sections over 6 months, the Practitioner Training is an in-depth experiential & theoretical training in energy bodywork. AcuEnergetics^® treatments work with meridians, chakras, pranic fields and acu points. It's emphasis is on the practical uses of a detailed understanding of the physiology and anatomy of the energy body.
Suitable for those seeking a new career or for those looking to enhance an existing career in western or alternative medicine.

Students can repeat the courses they have completed any number of times for a nominal fee. This is offered to help them to learn the knowledge, energetic techniques and Wellness balances taught in each level in greater depth.

AcuEnergetics^® Course details
AcuEnergetics^® courses feature small class sizes and expert instruction from the best teachers and practitioners of energy healing in Australia. Courses are run on weekends, and some Friday evenings. Clear and detailed information is provided for all courses including Course folders, DVD's of course content and colour posters of the energetic system for easy learning. Morning and afternoon tea are included in the workshop costs.

Certificate of Participation are presented upon completion of Level 1 and Level 2. The Practitioners Training provides a Practitioners Certification on completion of the training, and successfully passing the theoretical and practical exams.

AAAP - Australian Association of AcuEnergetics^® Practitioners
All students are eligible for membership of the Australian Association of AcuEnergetics^® Practitioners (AAAP) which provides additional training and support for students and practitioners.

Weekly Student Practice Nights
Once students have completed the Level 1 training in AcuEnergetics^® they can attend the Thursday Night Student Practice evenings. These are run every week at the AcuEnergetics^® Centre and are a great opportunity to learn additional energetic healing techniques, meditations and exercises, practice the Wellness Balances and treatment techniques taught in the trainings, ask questions and meet up with other students.

Who teachers the courses?
AcuEnergetics^® courses are all run by the founder and Master Practitioner, Kevin Farrow and Senior Practitioner and Teacher, Dave Flakelar. They are assisted in the trainings by members of the AcuEnergetics^® teaching team and Practitioners.
