Newsletter July 2007
As the last warm days of autumn have left us and winter is arriving, we have a fascinating newsletter for you to enjoy.
Since our last newsletter, we have been busy with our workshops both in Australia and India, and running our ever expanding clinic and student clinics, and we've had another great visit from the spiritual teacher Khandro-la (who blessed our Centre when it first opened in November 2005).
In January of this year a team of AcuEnergetics® teachers, practitioners and students went to the Osho Meditation Centre (OIMR) in Pune India to run a series of workshops on opening the light body through the chakras and the Sephiroth points. It is a beautiful oasis in the middle of amazing India with peaceful gardens, people visiting from around the world to explore Osho's meditations, the workshops, and enjoy the dancing and celebration of life that is part of Osho's vision of the total man, Zorba the Buddha. The workshops were popular and we have been invited back to run another series in January 2008. For more information in these workshops see the details below or visit http://www.osho.com .
AcuEnergetics® workshops at the Centre in Sydney have been expanding this year with students coming from around Australia and overseas.
In the second half of this year the full AcuEnergetics® Practitioner Training is available from Level 1 Skills for Living through to Level 3 AcuEnergetics®
Practitioner Certificate Training. These can be done as a continuous course or or individually. The Practitioner Training can be done all at once,
or in two or three sections over a number of years. This is particularly designed to help students coming from interstate and overseas. See below for detailed description of the courses.
In March this year when Khandro Thrinlay Chodon was touring Australia she visited our Centre and gave a talk on Dancing with Death. It was
an amazing evening, to sit with her, and to hear her share on this topic. Khandro-la is highly trained in Drukpa Kagyu tradition of Tibetan
Buddhism. Her name, Khandro, literally means sky goer and is the wisdom quality within the feminine essence.
Her vision, Khachodling (Land of the Blissful Dakinis), is a series of projects united by a strong spiritual purpose to bridge East and West in
spiritual training and social action. It's current major project is building a nunnery in the Himalayas to help the lay community rebuild it's
spiritual life, and it's other projects are; Kalimpong where there is a healing garden, stupa and medical clinic; Himachaal Pradesh an education and outreach
centre; Delhi an administration office and projects that care for the poor in city slums.
She travels overseas teaching for much of the year, and leads pilgrimages to places such as Ladakh, South India and Butan as a spiritual
practice where as she describes we open heartedly visit holy sites where great masters have meditated.. If you would like to know more visit
her website at http://www.khachodling.org.
Next year, Khandro-la and Kevin Farrow will be teaching together for the first time (this life). This weekend workshop will be in Sydney
and will probably be in March but we will let you know the exact dates soon. All proceeds from this teaching will go to the Khachodling projects.
This newsletter also includes an article by Kevin Farrow on Understanding Terrain, a fascinating look at the structure of the energetic body. This is an excerpt from the book he has almost completed on the physiology and anatomy of the energetic system which is based on detailed maps developed by Kevin over 30 years from his own meditation and internal exploration, years of clinical practice and understanding of ancient texts from China, India and the Middle East. Lastly but not least, we have included below just one of the many maps of the energetic system that Kevin uses in teaching Accuenergetics® courses - click here to view
What is AcuEnergetics®?
AcuEnergetics® is based on a deep understanding and a practical energetic application of the art and science of energy healing. This modality was developed by an Australian, Kevin Farrow, and integral to it are the detailed maps of the energetic system developed by Kevin from over 30 years of his own meditation and internal exploration, years of clinical practice and understanding of ancient texts from China, India, the West and the Middle East.
While it's beyond question that we once had a unified knowledge of the human bodies inherent structures and their functions, including their energetic systems, only parts of this understanding still exist. We see it in Ayurveda, in Tibetan and Chinese medicine and traces are there in the Upanishads, the Kabbalah and the Bible, Egyptian hieroglyphs and the works of the early Greeks including Plato and Pythagoras.
Only 1500 years ago there were schools and hospitals in China, India and Mesopotamia where learning and treatment of the sick using energetic psychology and medicine went hand in hand. The founder of AcuEnergetics®, Kevin Farrow, studied the ancient writings from many cultures in a modern context and combined them with his own understandings gained from 30 years of personal explorations into the energy body, and discovered a new context for energy healing. This has a wide implication for all healing modalities. People have called energy medicine shamanism or miracle cures, however as St Augustine pointed out, There are no such things as miracles, only unknown laws.
The result of these discoveries was AcuEnergetics®, which sees illness not as a problem to be solved, but as a reflection of the state of the spirit of the individual and how they view the world. While AcuEnergetics® practitioners effectively treat pain and illness, they also help clients understand the real cause of their symptoms and teach them real life skills to help them in their development as individuals.
AcuEnergetics® non invasive healing technique allows practitioners to accurately treat clients by opening their energetic channels and removing blockages, allowing the body to heal itself. These blockages can be held in the meridians, strange flows, chakras or pranic fields. AcuEnergetics® students train in energetic sensing to be able to feel and balance these energetic streams, points and chakras.
Some of the complaints AcuEnergetics® treats include; chronic neck and back, knee pain and problems, frozen shoulder, sciatica, menstrual problems and infertility, thyroid problems, anxiety, insomnia, digestive problems, depression, stress and trauma and many other problems. It has also proven very helpful for post-operative care.
AcuEnergetics® Workshops July to December 2007
AcuEnergetics® Training
AcuEnergetics® workshops are run on three levels, and then there are courses for those wishing to go on and teach. There are also ongoing classes every Thursday Night for all students and practitioners which include meditations, classes on extra energetic techniques and where students can give or receive supervised balances from each other.
AcuEnergetics® workshops attract people exploring on their own journey, people looking for a new career in an amazing, effective and insightful healing modality that is continually exploring new understandings of the energetic system, and for practitioners of other modalities who are interested to learn and experience more of the hidden structure of our energetic system that underlies all treatment modalities.
If you are interested in doing the complete AcuEnergetics® Practitioner Certificate Training the one for this year starts on Friday pm 20 July (Level 1 weekend course), the Level 2 course is on the weekends of the 10-12 and 17-19 August and the Level 3 (Practitioner Training) course starts on the 8 September.
The Level 1 and 2 workshops are the only prerequisite for doing the AcuEnergetics® Practitioner Training. It is easy to do one level after another and many students elect to do it this way, for others it suits them better to have a break between levels. Both work well.

AcuEnergetics® Level Two ~ Inner Alchemy
The AcuEnergetics® Level 2 workshop takes the initial training to a deeper and more powerful level. It’s aim is to bring you to a point where you can easily access the energy needed to practice energetic healing and learn Chakra entrainment and specific AcuEnergetics® treatment techniques. It is about inner energetic work, and is a quantum leap from Level 1 in what you will be able to feel and do energetically!
It is run over two weekends.
In the first weekend, you will be taught Sacral Balancing, a balance facilitates release of the congested energy stored in the sacral area. Variations of this technique are used in treating back pain, loss of periods, and stress. You will learn about Chakras, how they relate to the rest of our energetic system, what they hold and how to balance them. You will also learn how to Open the Thrusting Channels (which increases the amount of energy available to the body), and the energetic clearing of the Wind Gates (which introduces energetic acupuncture techniques for treating internal organs).
In the second weekend, the inner techniques of Chakra entrainment are taught, along with a treatment technique called Chakra to Injury which is very effective for certain types of injuries. On the Sunday morning we meet for sunrise on beautiful Balmoral Beach, where you learn the Second Gate energetic opening technique. This amazing experience also includes you learning to feel different energies of the elements and the earth.
Testimonials:
Level 2 was what really ignited my passion and excitement for AcuEnergetics®.By the end of the course I was feeling things in my body that I had never felt before - I didn't want it to end. It is so much fun because of all the practical skills involved - the new hand techniques, balances and the second stage of release work take your ability to treat others and yourself to a whole new level.
It gives you a deeper understanding of energy and the body and on completing Level 2, you really start to understand the incredible possibilities within this modality. - TR
• Next course 10-12 & 17-19 August (Fri pm to Sun pm) Cost $1150 (early bird discount available).

AcuEnergetics® Level 3 ~ Practitioner Certificate Training (Part 1)
It is important to understand how the emotions and attitudes that we experience in our daily life affect our health. In Level 3 you will learn to develop a thorough understanding, both theoretically and experientially, of how emotions and attitudes alter the energetic system and lead to illness. Throughout this training you will explore where you hold in your own physical and emotional body, and learn techniques for releasing these. You will also practice meditations to help you to discover your own inner silence, give and receive many Wellness Balances and other treatment sessions, as part of your own experiential understanding.
There are two parts to this Practitioner Certificate Training - Level 3 which is taught over 8 weekends and some evenings, and the Practitioner/Client Training which runs for a further 4 weekends.
Level 3 training is an in-depth experiential and theoretical training in energy medicine. Students learn how to feel and work with strange flows, meridians, pranic fields, chakras and acu-points. The Releasework processes that students experience at this Level are life changing as they explore and release long held attitudes and emotions. This depth of personal exploration is essential for anyone considering working as a practitioner.
You will learn:
- Strange Flows, Pranic Fields, Meridians and Acu-points - learn to locate, feel and understand their role in the structure of the energetic system and the influence they exert on different areas of the body.
- Chakra Correspondences - these deep connections between chakras shape how we see and experience the world. Discovered by Kevin Farrow, these are a key technique in understanding attitudes.
- In-depth physiology and anatomy of the energy system, including tan tiens, e-lines & field theory.
- Advanced Releasework and how it is used in treatment.
- Internal organs, how they hold, emotions and elements associated with them and how they are treated.
- 5-Element theory and it’s use in confirming the basis of an imbalance.
- An in-depth experiential understanding of the structure of the energetic system including hidden chakras, the Sephiroth channels and the gates to the heart
• Next course starts 8 September Cost $4500 (early bird discount available).
• To book in for this course, or request more information, please contact us at info@acuenergetics.com
Practitioner/Client Training (Part 2)
In the 2nd part of this course you are trained to apply the theory and techniques learnt in Level 3 to treating specific problems and cases. It teaches advanced diagnosis and treatment techniques for the problems AcuEnergetics® treats, such as chronic pain, sports injuries, infertility and women‘s issues, thyroid imbalances, pre and post operative treatments, stress, grief etc.

Testimonial:
I did the AcuEnergetics® Level 1 and 2 courses to gain a better understanding of the connection between my body, mind and spirit. At the time, I was looking at doing a course in the USA and during my research, stumbled across AcuEnergetics®. I went to see Kevin Farrow as a patient and he successfully healed my Candida, constant headaches, menstrual problems, back pain, chronic tonsillitis, bladder infections and a general feeling of depression within 5 sessions. Having completed a degree in a medical related field and explored numerous other healing modalities, I was blown away by the results. I decided to do the AcuEnergetics® Level 3 course to get a complete understanding of the energetic system. The Level 3 course material is very specific and relevant to your life, whether you want to be a practitioner or not. The course offers more information and practical applications than any other I have seen. I also believe it delivers the most logical view of healing that exists. - ND Sydney
AcuEnergetics® Workshops in Pune, India
The AcuEnergetics® workshops run at the Osho Centre in India are different from most of the ones run at the AcuEnergetics® Centre in Sydney. Their focus is more on inner exploration using the accurate maps Kevin has developed showing the structure of the energetic body,. Students will learn to feel in themselves the core aspects of the energetic system (including chakras, meridians and the channels shown in the Sephiroth that link these) which will help them to open their light body.
In these workshops we explore healing using the methodology of Tantra, allowing ourselves to open our hearts and dissolve into the ocean of beingness through the sense of feeling. AcuEnergetics® is experiential, beautiful and profound for one’s own journey, and incredibly effective as a healing modality for physical and emotional issues.
AcuEnergetics® - A Taste of Inner Chocolate (1 day workshop)
Inside our bodies there is bliss. We touch this sometimes inadvertently – when we love, when we smile, when we dance. This workshop will show you practical ways to tap into this bliss directly and build a beautiful relationship with your inner chocolate.
AcuEnergetics® - The Alchemical Marriage (3 day workshop)
This workshop will focus on specific internal Tantric techniques for opening the energy gates that link the heart chakra to the meridian system. You will learn to melt the latent Kundalini in the Heart chakra so that your body becomes an ocean of bliss.
AcuEnergetics® - The Sephiroth Training: Opening to the Light (7 day workshop)
This experiential workshop will focus on internal energy maps that were essential training for Jesus, Moses and other Judaic prophets until at least the twelfth century AD. This is similar to some of the secret Taoist practices. The process involves opening the revealed and hidden chakras to the Circulation of the Light orbit in the body. This deep practice approaches the energy system in a powerful and direct way.
Each day we will explore one of the major chakras, teaching you simple physical methods for opening them. You will gain a true understanding of each chakra, how they feel, their strengths and the way they work together. You will learn where you hold blockages in these centres and how to let these go so they can then operate openly in your life. This experience can completely change how you approach and manifest your life, take you places you have never been in yourself and open you to a deeper understanding of your life journey and potential.

Understanding The Body Terrain
An article by Kevin Farrow
The term terrain is used to discuss the interior body coherency, because we need a language and terms. The term terrain is an easy and useful concept. Terrain is defined (COD) as; a tract of land as regarded by the physical geographer. It conjures up images of distinct variations in topography.
When we think of terrain as land, we can see that all terrain has important differences. Some land near the coast has salt in the soil and this affects what type of plants can grow there. Some land has massive rainfall and heat and this results in a terrain where plants grow very rapidly and also rapidly breakdown into the soil. Many areas of land are marginal farming land and are deficient in important trace elements needed for strong plant growth. If the trace elements are not present, then the crop is smaller and weakened so that it is subject to disease. The type of disease it manifests will depend on the type of trace elements missing. The lack of some trace elements will make some plants prone to fungal infections, while others may become very susceptible to frost. To ensure that this doesn’t occur, farmland terrain is managed by farmers, whose role ensures that the terrain has sufficient water and nutrients to support a healthy crop.
The body terrain is similar, and like all terrain, is capable of adjustment. The planet terrain is adjusted by weather and the body terrain through emotion and outlook. The terrain varies according to each person and where they are in their lives at that moment. A person's terrain predisposes them to health through its coherency and natural integrative strengths or to illness through its incoherencies. Terrain is the invisible interior energetic set-up of the body, that can only be revealed through direct perceptions.
Coherency in the terrain allows energies to pass unobstructed, whereas congestion shuts down the smooth flows and gives us a predisposition to ill health. A person’s terrain therefore defines their predisposition to illness.
Masaru Emoto's photographs of water crystals show that water subject to calm and loving influences reveals a coherent and integrated structure. In contrast, water subjected to negative emotions shows an incoherent structure. Emoto has been photographing water crystals since 1994, using dark field photography. His photographs show that human vibrational energy, thoughts, ideas and music and pollution, directly affect the molecular crystalline structure of water. As human beings are composed of 70% water, the ability of water to hold the resonance of our thoughts and feelings, has a direct affect on our physical health. So when you are walking around being angry at somebody, or sad over something, or jealous or stressed – your energy field is incoherent and this is expressed in the incoherency of the structure of water in your body. It it continues, then you will get sick because the basic terrain of your body will become weakened and you will literally play host to illness.
Your thinking and emotions affect your body through the energy field. This is not a new idea. Around two and a half thousand years ago, the greatest philosophers of three continents understood this.
Buddha, in India stated, If you wish to see why your body is the way it is ~ look at how you have been thinking for the past 10 years. If you wish to see how your body will be in 10 years time ~ look at how you are thinking now.
In China, Confucius said, To cultivate the body ~ first rectify the mind.
In Greece Plato wrote, The cure of the part should not be attempted without treatment of the whole. No attempt should be made to cure the body without the soul, and if the head and the body are to be healthy, you must begin by curing the mind. For this is the great error of our day in the treatment of the human body, that physicians first separate the soul from the body.
Imbalances in the material of the mind/spirit are always firstly expressed in the least inconvenient way. Life hits us with a feather ~ if we ignore it, we get a brick ~ next is the freight train! In the subtle and gross bodies this is expressed as a congestion in particular chakras, then a congestion in the meridians and channels, then congestion in the physical body.
The chakras are the first affected as they are the connection of mind to body. Have you ever felt sick in the stomach from worry, or had butterflies in the tummy before playing sport? Ever wondered how the mind affects the body in this way? The mechanism is through the chakras. They are like electrical transformers that step down the fine energy of the mind into the heavier energy of the body. Persistant negative attitudes and emotions will consistently unbalance them and this will affect the energyfields of the qi meridian system. Imbalance of the energyfields will upset the terrain of the physical body.
Imbalances always express themselves in these three ways. Primarily there is an imbalance in the mind/spirit, secondarily there is a blocking in the meridians as a result of this. Thirdly there is physical pain as a result of the congestion being expressed in the physical body. As an example, a friend of mine developed lymph cancer, which is basically a destruction of the immune system, a form of defencelessness. Because he had nothing to lose, he had some energy healing sessions and these brought to light his feelings of defencelessness as a child against his hostile alcoholic mother.
Another friend saw me after being diagnosed with breast cancer. I asked how long she'd had the lump in her breast. She said her specialist indicated it could have been there for 7 years. I asked what happened seven years before. She told me that seven years before she had discovered her husband was gay. Her response at the time was to shut off from him, although she continued to live in the same house for 4 years. Her cancerous lump was located exactly at the first point of the external pericardium meridian. The pericardium is also known as the heart protector.
Even the conscious understanding of our situation does not necessarily mean that we will be free of the consequences. Many years ago in India, I heard Osho telling a story about his student days. He had been raised as a Jain and they don’t eat after the sun sets. At University he had been part of an excursion to a distant temple. The bus arrived after dusk and the Hindu students began preparing meals.
Osho had given up Jain practices several years before at the age of 15, but he had never eaten after dusk. He thought about it and decided that he was hungry and had no qualms about breaking a tabu from his former faith. He ate and vomited all night and all the next day.
If you think about it, the actual progress of illness from the chakras into the physical body comes about through the ability of our minds to control qi. Emotion causes qi to congest and mind causes it to move about the energetic field, blocking various centres and pathways.
In effect, we manifest our unconscious in our bodies through subconscious control of our qi. We can learn to direct qi consciously in Qi Gong and other esoteric disciplines, simply because everyone is so adept at doing it subconsciously. When we understand how illness mirrors the mind/spirit, we see how the methodology of treatment must match the methodology of illness. As illness is formed by a particular blind spot in the vision of our spirit, we must address this before or when we address the physical or energetic body. If we ignore the real 'causes' then we can only apply band-aid cures, whether that is by energy work, physical manipulation, drugs or surgery.
